What's Going On Here?
You're looking at a video where each frame
is an individual photograph taken at a set time interval.
Every 13 secs a photo was acquired. These frames are then
played back at the rate of 24 per sec. Consequently, each
of these 2.5 minute videos shows 2.5
hours of dissection!
Why Did You Do This?
My initial curiosity promted me to try this
and soon after I realized some of it's applications. I also
could not find one single example of anyone doing this
before so I wanted tie this technique to my name. Most
students in a prosected anatomy course have no real sense
of the preparation involved. It takes hours to prepare a
specimen for educational purposes. Since time-lapse has the
benefit of condensing a long process into a short time it
was a natural fit for the job.
Will You Make More Videos?
I really want to, but unfortunately my time
is rapidly dissapearing. If there is high levels of
interest I would be more likely to pursue this. My initial
goal was to get this idea out on the web.
