Dashboard Widget Posted!

I just made my first "contribution" as a registered Apple Developer.

A Dashboard widget I created (using Dashcode) was submitted Monday and posted today, April 17.

The widget is super simple, basically serving as a quick reference for the definitions of PubMed search field tags. I found I was looking these up online more than I should have too when they could only be a button press away (F12).

I don't know who else could find this useful but the whole creation-to-submission process through Apple was a breeze!

Head to this URL to check out, and if you're adventurous, install my little widget:

And if you find yourself using it regularly please support the widget at

Barry Bonds Homerun Tracker (RSS)

Remember yesterday (I hope) when I mentioned I was looking for an RSS feed to give me updates of Barry Bonds' progress towards the all-time homerun record? Well I could not find one so I did the honorable thing and created one. That's right, if you are an RSS feed fanatic and baseball history fanatic like myself then this feed is for you:

So far, Barry has only crushed one homer this season, #735. Hopefully he stays healthy, not only for his pursuit but also for the sake of my little feed!

Chasing Aaron

Barry Bonds is very close to breaking Hank Aaron's all-time career record of 755 homeruns. In fact, he just hit his 735th HR on April 4th off Chris Young of San Diego. Taking a look at MLB.com's milestone tracker page has really got me excited. MLB has predicted Barry to hit his 756th homerun and pass Hammerin' Hank on August 27th, 2007 against the Colorado Rockies.

If only I could find an RSS feed of baseball milestone tracking...
