It was Wednesday, March 26, 2008 and Mike had planned a
snowboarding trip to Copper Mountain. We had spent the
whole morning doing some intense snow boarding when Mike
suggested they take their lunch break at the top of the
mountain. So off we went to the Rendezvous lift (above).
We sat at a picnic table to the side of the lift and
enjoyed our bagged lunch. When Stephanie wasn't looking,
Mike grabbed the box with her engagement ring and tucked it
in his pocket, ready to make his move. We finished lunch
and Mike casually suggest "let's take a pic together at the
top of the mountain". The clouds parted as Mike set the
camera timer and joined Stephanie (above). Mike dropped
down on one knee and asked Stephanie to marry him, she said
yes!
Later that afternoon Mike took Stephanie out for a sleigh
ride and dinner.
After a 15 minute ride we made it to the dinning tent.
We had a seat at our reserved table and enjoyed a great
dinner together.
We were treated to live music by John Truscelli. He even
played a special song for us and made us get up and dance
in front of the entire crowd (reenactment above)! It was a
great day and a fun evening that we will never forget!
